Small Dog Carriers

Small dog carriers are light and easy to travel with. They are designed for small dogs such as the various toy varieties, mini varieties, and small breeds. They should be comfortable for the animal to travel in. The carrier should be the correct size, but adding a pillow, toy and blanket will make the trip much more enjoyable for the animal.

Small dog carriers should also have plenty of ventilation while still being structurally sound. The carrier should be able to take a little bit of damage without harming the pet at all, although they are not designed to prevent all accidents. If there is no ventilation it can get very hot and uncomfortable for the animal inside which can cause heat exhaustion which may necessitate a vet visit.

Small dog carriers come in a variety of styles to suit specific needs whether it’s having them fly on an airplane or a more fashionable bag for around town. The former would be much stronger with a metal gate that locks securely while the latter would most likely be a soft bag with mesh for ventilation and zippers for securement.
