Airline Pet Carrier

An airline pet carrier is specially designed to protect an animal during flight. They are much stronger and more durable than a typical carrier just incase there are problems in the craft such as falling luggage or an improperly secured crate. They are made of reinforced plastics, stainless steel or can be a reinforced wooden crate.

An airline pet carrier should be used whenever a pet has to be moved on an airplane, but they are also effective carriers when moving the pet in a car, train, or by hand. They are heavier than most carriers, but larger ones typically have wheels and a stable handle for easy transport.

An airline pet carrier has to pass certain specifications before it is approved for airline use. The pet also has to be the correct size for the carrier. If the carrier is to big it will not pass beyond the luggage line. If it is not airline approved it cannot be used either.
